Dr. Niamh Watkins
Niamh is an assistant professor in the school of Language, Literacy and Early Childhood Education (LLECE) where she lectures in the area of Literacy to undergraduate and postgraduate students .
Niamh has more than ten years experience teaching at primary school level in DEIS schools.
Research Interests
Niamh's interests include the reading-writing connection; writing genres; literacy in the context of educational disadvantage; dialogic approaches to literacy, project-based learning, literacy across the curriculum; critical literacy pedagogy; literacy assessment in higher education.
