Dr. Jamie Taylor

I am an Associate Professor in the School of Health and Human Performance at Dublin City University and co-lead of CoEx|Lab. My research examines coaching expertise, coach development, talent development and performance in sport.

With a background in coaching and coach development, I take a practice-informed approach to research. I am interested in how coaches make decisions, design learning environments and respond to the demands of their context, and how talent and performance systems shape the experiences of athletes and practitioners.

My work connects research with the challenges of practice, drawing on engagement across a range of sporting settings. I aim to produce research that supports critical reflection, informs professional judgement and helps improve the quality of coaching and development environments.
