Dr. Anderson Augusto Simiscuka

Dr. Anderson Augusto Simiscuka received the B.Sc. degree in Information Systems from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, São Paulo, Brazil, in 2014, and the Ph.D. degree from Dublin City University (DCU), Ireland, in 2020. He is currently an Assistant Professor at DCU and was previously a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Insight Research Ireland Centre for Data Analytics. Throughout his career, he has held technical and research positions with organisations including Wittel (2010–2013), DCU/Ericsson through the EStream Project (2014), Arkadin (2014), and IBM (2015). His research focuses on multimedia systems, immersive media, extended reality (XR), network adaptation, digital twins, multisensory communications, and Quality of Experience (QoE). Dr. Simiscuka is a member of IEEE, IEEE Young Professionals, the IEEE Communications Society, and the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society. He has contributed to and coordinated work packages within several large-scale European and Irish-funded research projects, including the SFI-funded FRADIS project, the Horizon 2020 TRACTION project, and the Horizon Europe HEAT project.
