School of Law & Government

The School of Law and Government is a community of students and staff dedicated to studying the puzzles, problems and opportunities of the contemporary world, offering challenging programmes and undertaking ambitious research across law, politics, and international relations. The School was awarded Law School of the Year at the Irish Law Awards 2026.

At undergraduate level, it offers a BA in Economics, Politics and Law, a Bachelor of Civil Law, a BA in International Relations, as well as Law and Politics within DCU's Bachelor of Arts Joint Honours programme. Postgraduate offerings include an MSc in Public Policy, MA in International Relations, MA in International Security and Conflict Studies, an LLM and MA in Data Protection and Privacy Law. The School is also known for strong links with government, policy and civil society organisations.
