School of History & Geography

The School of History and Geography at Dublin City University is one of the seven schools of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

It is a vibrant teaching and research centre, staffed by a team of historians, geographers, environmental scientists and social scientists. Our mission is to deliver excellent programmes, inspire our students, advance knowledge through field-leading research, and contribute to informed public discourse and policy-making.

Through its individual scholars, and its interdisciplinary range, the School endeavours to play a leading role, nationally and internationally, in the advancement of our subjects. Our staff teach onto a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes while we are home to a thriving community of postgraduate researchers.
